PARIS — The French civil aviation investigation bureau BEA has concluded there have been “clear similarities” among this month’s crash of an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX plane and a Lion Air plane crash final October.

The French bureau mentioned Monday that black box information from the Ethiopian Airlines flight showed the hyperlinks and will be made use of for additional study.

Ethiopian authorities asked BEA for assistance in extracting and interpreting the crashed plane’s black boxes for the reason that Ethiopia does not have the required experience and technologies.

The Ethiopian Accident Investigation Bureau intends to release a preliminary report inside 30 days.
